Q. Will there be problems with the completion of the patient diaries?
A. These diaries have been used previously and proved to be well completed by patients. The inpatient hospital costs for the surgery admission are likely to be the main component of the health economics, and the CRF covers this.
Q. For the health economic costings will it be the cost of the actual blood (£125 per unit) or the cost to the hospital?
A. We would look at the full cost to the hospital for giving the blood.
